EASY MICROWAVE CARAMELS 
2 sticks butter, melted
1 lb. brown sugar
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1 c. white syrup
1 tbsp. vanilla extract

Combine first 4 ingredients in a 3 quart microwave bowl. Microwave on high for 17 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven. Stir in vanilla and pour into buttered 13 x 9 inch glass dish and cool. When set, cut into squares and wrap individually in wax paper. Store in refrigerator. Makes 117 one inch squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
