GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
10-11 potatoes 1 onion, cut up 2 raw eggs 1 c. vinegar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 stalk celery 4 slices crisp fried bacon 1 c. sugar 1/2 c. water Prepare potatoes. Fry bacon, save grease. Add celery, onions and bacon to potatoes. Beat 2 eggs well. Add sugar. Mix in vinegar, cold water and mustard; mix well. Pour egg mixture into hot bacon fat and stir until thickened. Add salt and pepper to taste. Cook for 10 minutes. Let stand to cool a little. Add to potatoes. Serve warm. |
