THE CLASSIC BROWNIE 
12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. butter
4 lg. eggs
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Melt chocolate chips and butter in double boiler.

In mixer beat eggs and sugar well. Add flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Add chocolate mixture (add nuts if desired). Mix well at medium speed. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes. Cool and cut into desired size squares.
