DATE-COCONUT BARS 
1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. nuts
1 c. shredded coconut
1/2 c. chopped dates

Mix 1 cup flour with 1/2 cup brown sugar. Add 1/2 cup butter. Press in 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees 10-12 minutes. Cool.

Beat eggs with 1 cup brown sugar until light. Add vanilla.

Mix together 1 tablespoon flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs. Stir in nuts, coconut and dates. Spread over baked crust. Bake 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
