OLD WORLD APPLE PIE 
2 c. chopped apples
1/3 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. sugar
2 tbsp. plain flour
1 egg, beaten
1 c. sour cream
1 unbaked 9 inch pie shell

TOPPING:

1/3 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. butter

Peel and chop apples and set aside. Combine sugar, flour and salt. Add egg, vanilla and sour cream and beat until smooth. Add apples, mix well and pour into pie shell. Bake at 375 for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 325 and bake for 30 minutes longer.

Combine all topping ingredients; mix well. Sprinkle over pie and return to oven. Bake at 325 for 20 more minutes or until topping is brown.
