MICROWAVE CARAMEL CORN 
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1 stick butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. unpopped corn

Put all except popcorn in 4-quart bowl; cover and microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes. Stir. Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes; stir in 1/2 teaspoon baking soda. Pour into grocery bag of 4 quarts popped corn (1/2 cup unpopped = 4 quarts popped).

Shake bag and microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake bag again and microwave for 1 1/2 minutes. Shake bag well; tear bag open and separate kernels with spatula.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
