ALMOND CHOCOLATE BUTTER SQUARES 
1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
1 (9 3/4 oz.) bar milk chocolate, broken into pieces
3/4 c. roasted slivered almonds

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter with brown sugar and sugar. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Stir in flour. Spread in greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan and bake 20 minutes until golden, but not browned. Remove from oven and immediately place chocolate bar pieces on crust.

Spread chocolate evenly as it melts, then sprinkle almonds on top. Cut into bars while warm, but leave in pan until cooled. (You may refrigerate to speed cooling).
