PEACH BISCUIT COBBLER | |
1 c. flour 2 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar 1 tsp. sugar 1/4 c. shortening 1/3 c. milk 1 can peach pie filling Sift flour, baking powder, salt, cream of tartar and sugar together. Cut in shortening, stir with fork until a soft dough is formed. Turn out on lightly floured board and pat or roll slightly to fit top of 8x8 inch baking dish. Place peaches in baking dish, cover with dough. Cut several slits near center of dough. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. |
