CARAMEL CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1 c. sweet milk
Pinch of soda
1 tbsp. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts
Pinch of salt

Put first 3 ingredients in boiler and bring to boil. At same time, melt in a skillet the second cup of sugar. Add this when thoroughly melted to boiling syrup, stirring well. Do not stir anymore, only shake boiler. When this tests to a soft boil stage remove from heat and let cool. Add butter and salt. Beat until almost firm and add broken nuts. Pour into greased pan. Cut into squares when cool.
