1 lb. ground beef 1 green pepper 1 onion 1 garlic clove 2 tbsp. dry sherry, optional 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 bay leaf 1/2 tsp. oregano Salt to taste 1/8 tsp. black pepper 1/2 tsp. cumin, optional 1 tbsp. oil Mince onion, green pepper and garlic clove. Saute in oil until onion is clear. Add tomato sauce and combine remaining ingredients. Mix well. Add the ground beef and cook for 15 minutes, mixing it occasionally, until meat is brown. Add dry sherry, if desired. Garnish with Spanish olives. Serve over rice. |
