NUT LAYER CAKE 
6 eggs, separated
1 c. sugar
1 c. finely ground walnuts
1/2 box Zwiebach (ground)
2 tsp. + a bit more baking powder

Beat egg whites until stiff and put aside.

Beat yolks until creamy. Add sugar and beat again.

Add nuts and Zwiebach slowly with the baking powder. Batter will be a stiff. Add a bit of the beaten egg white and make it easier to handle. Fold in the rest of the egg whites.

Line bottom of 2 (9 inch) layer pans with wax paper. Pour in batter. Bake approximately 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Test that it is baked thoroughly. Remove from pans to cooling rack.
