MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES 
3/4 c. shortening

Melt shortening in 3 quart saucepan over low heat, cool and add:

1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
1/4 c. Rabbit molasses

Beat mixture well.

Sift together:

2 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Add dry mixture to first mixture (wet mixture). Mix well, and chill. form into 1 inch balls, roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheets two inches apart. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 8-10 minutes.
