MOM'S MOLASSES SUGAR COOKIES 
3/4 c. Crisco
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. Brier Rabbit molasses (green label)
1 egg
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt

Melt shortening in saucepan. Remove from heat, let cool. Add sugar, molasses, egg. Beat well. Sift together dry ingredients. Add to first mixture and mix well. Chill.

Form into small balls, roll in granulated sugar and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake 350 degrees 6 minutes, longer makes them crispier.
