NO KNEAD PARMESAN BREAD | |
1/2 c. water 1/2 c. milk 2 pkg. yeast 3 c. flour 2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 2/3 c. butter, softened 1 c. Parmesan cheese 1/4 c. chopped parsley or 2 tbsp. parsley flakes 1/4 c. barbeque sauce 2 eggs In a small saucepan, heat water and milk until warm. Add yeast and stir to dissolve. In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, salt and butter. Mix at low speed until crumbly. By hand, stir in yeast mixture, cheese, parsley, barbeque sauce and eggs. Blend well. Spoon into greased 9 inch square or 11 x 7 inch pan. Cover. Let rise in a warm place until light and doubled in size. 45-60 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. Until deep golden brown. If bread becomes too brown loosely cover with foil the last 10 minutes of baking. Immediately remove from pan. If desired, brush with melted butter. Serve warm. Makes 9-12 squares. |
