STRAWBERRY BREAD | |
3 c. sifted flour 2 c. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. cinnamon 4 eggs, beaten 1 1/4 c. oil 1 c. nuts 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries (thaw but do not drain) 2 loaf pans, 350 degrees, 1 hour. Mix together dry ingredients. Add eggs, oil and nuts. Beat thoroughly. Stir in berries with juice. Pour into 2 well greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until it tests done. Variation: Makes 2 1/2 dozen muffins. If desired, melt 1/4 cup butter, dip tops of warm muffins into butter and then into granulated sugar. |
