POPPY SEED CAKE 
1 box lemon cake mix
1 pkg. lemon or vanilla instant pudding
3 eggs
1/4 c. oil
1 1/3 c. water or 1 c. 7-Up and 1/3 c. water, makes it more moist
3 tbsp. poppy seeds

Combine all ingredients, adding poppy seeds last. Bake in bundt pan 40 to 50 minutes.

SPECIAL TOPPING:

Mix together: 1/3 c. cooking sherry 3 tbsp. sugar

When cake is cool enough to remove from pans, prick all over with toothpick holes and pour topping over this. Best when refrigerated and also freezes well to make in advance.
