PIE FILLING CAKE 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter
4 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 can fruit pie filling (cherry, apple, blueberry, peach, pineapple)

Mix first 5 ingredients together. It is easiest to break up butter and mix entire batter with your hands like bread dough. No need for a mixer.

Spread batter on a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inch jelly roll pan. Score batter as if cutting (do not cut through) into 24 pieces. Place pie filling on center of each square. Bake at 350 degrees about 30 minutes. Toothpick inserted will come out clean.
