POTATO CHILI CASSEROLE 
1 pkg. scalloped potatoes
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped green pepper
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. chili powder
2 1/2 c. water
1 can kidney beans, undrained

Heat oven to 400 degrees. Empty potatoes into ungreased 2 quart casserole. Cook and stir ground beef, green pepper, and onion; add salt and drain. Stir in sauce mix, chili powder, water, and beans. Stir into potatoes. Cover and bake until potatoes are tender, about 40 minutes. Sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. 4-6 servings.
