ITALIAN BROCCOLI WITH OLIVES 
1 lg. bunch of fresh broccoli
1/4 c. olive oil
1 garlic clove, chopped
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash of fresh ground pepper
1/2 c. ripe olives, halved & pitted

Wash, trim and cut broccoli into bite size pieces. Drop into a pot of boiling water and cook for 8 minutes, drain. Heat the olive oil and garlic in skillet until garlic begins to sizzle and brown. Remove the garlic. Add the broccoli, salt, pepper and 1/4 cup water. Cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Toss with the olives and serve at once. Serves 4.
