RAISIN OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. white sugar
1 c. Crisco
2 eggs
1 c. cooked raisins
5 tbsp. raisin juice
1 tsp. baking soda
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. salt
Walnuts (optional)

Cook raisins with water; let cool. Save 5 tablespoons of the liquid and drain. Mix sugar, Crisco and eggs. Add cooled raisins and juice with the soda added. Add oatmeal, flour, vanilla, spices. Mix well. Drop by teaspoons on greased cookie sheet. Bake until brown, 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
