PAPRIKAS KRUMPLI (POTATOES) 
1/4 c. Mazola oil
1 lg. onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tsp. Hungarian paprika powder
1/4 tsp. black ground pepper
Dash of crushed red pepper
Sm. piece bacon (1/2 c.) for taste (optional)
10 lg. potatoes, peeled
3 lg. green peppers, cut to bite size
2 lg. tomatoes, cut to bite size
5 - 6 frankfurters, cut to bite size
1 c. water

Saute onions (and bacon, if used) in hot oil until they become brownish. Add garlic, and all remaining ingredients except potatoes and frankfurters. Stir for a couple of minutes on low heat. Cut potatoes lengthwise, quartered, then cut into 1/8, so you get long narrow approximately 1/4 inch thick pieces. Add potatoes along with a cup of water; simmer on very low flame until potatoes are almost done, then add frankfurters. Stir frequently throughout the whole cooking process. When potatoes are soft (test with a fork), dish is done. Makes 4 servings.
