BUTTERMILK POUND CAKE 
2/3 c. Crisco
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
1 c. buttermilk

Cream Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Blend flour, flavorings, and buttermilk in small amounts at a time. Pour in tube pan. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
