2 lb. ground chuck 1 med. onion, chopped 2 ribs celery, chopped 1 (8 oz.) can mushroom pieces 1 qt. tomatoes 3 beef bouillon cubes or 3 tsp. instant 8 oz. fine noodles 1/2 lb. grated or sliced cheese Brown ground meat, onion, celery, and drained mushrooms, save mushroom liquid to add later. After browned, drain off all fat. Add tomatoes, cut into pieces, liquid from mushrooms, bouillon, and 3 cups of water. Simmer 10 minutes. Add noodles and cook 15 minutes. Take off heat and add most of the cheese. You can save some cheese to garnish top of casserole. Stir to mix as cheese melts. Put into casserole. Makes 1 large casserole or a couple smaller ones. Can be frozen. |
