ORANGE SPINACH SALAD 
1 head lettuce
Fresh spinach
1 sm. can mandarin oranges
1 sm. onion
8 slices bacon
1/4 c. oil (from bacon)
3 tsp. sugar
Juice from oranges
Vinegar

Wash lettuce and spinach, drain and tear into pieces. Cook bacon until crisp and crumble into bits (reserve oil from bacon). Add to lettuce. Chop small onion and add also. Drain can of oranges (reserving liquid) and cut into bite-size pieces; add to lettuce. Toss all ingredients.

In a measuring cup: combine oil from bacon, juice from oranges, sugar and enough vinegar to fill measuring cup to the 1-cup mark. Pour mixture over salad and refrigerate 1 hour before serving.
