GRANDMA'S CASSEROLE 
1 c. chopped onions
1 c. chopped peppers (green or red)
1 c. celery
1 1/2 lbs. ground turkey or veal
1 tsp. seasoned salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. oregano
2 cloves garlic, crushed
14 1/2 oz. can Italian style tomatoes, chopped
15 oz. can tomato sauce
2 c. water
8 oz. pkg. fettucini noodles, or desired pasta
8 oz. pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese

Saute onion, celery, pepper, garlic and spices in large no-stick pan. Add meat and cook until brown. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce and water and simmer for 15 minutes. Spray a 9"x13" pan with Pam and cover bottom of pan with sauce. Spread noodles over it evenly, then add remaining sauce. Top with cheese and bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour. One-eighth of this is equal to 3 protein (2 meat, 1 cheese), 1 vegetable, 1 bread exchange. This recipe was developed by a Weight Watchers member. It freezes well, too.
