LOAVES FOR THE MULTITUDE 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1/4 c. lukewarm water
1 stick butter
1 tsp. salt
1/3 c. sugar
3 eggs or egg substitute
1 c. milk
4 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water and set aside. Scald milk. Remove from heat and add the stick of butter. Allow to cool.

In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs. Add sugar and salt. Mix in dissolved yeast, then alternately add milk and flour. Allow to rise double in size. Stir down and pour into buttered loaf pans. Allow to rise again. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven. Makes two loaves. Several may be frozen ahead for multitude.
