LEMON BREAD | |
1 pkg. lemon cake mix 1 pkg. instant lemon pudding 1 c. salad oil (Crisco) 1 c. water 4 eggs, unbeaten 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring 5 heaping tsp. poppy seeds Mix first 7 ingredients together. Beat at medium speed 5 minutes. Grease and flour 3 loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes. Before removing from pan (while still hot) prick top with fork. GLAZE: 1/4 c. sifted powdered sugar Juice of 1 lemon Make glaze by stirring sugar and lemon juice together until dissolved. Drizzle glaze over each loaf. Remove from pan. Cool and cut. (May use 12 cup Bundt or tube pan - 50 minutes baking). |
