BISCOTTI 
1 c. sugar
6 tbsp. Crisco
4 eggs
1 bottle anise extract (or 2 tsp. almond extract and 1 tsp. vanilla extract)
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add extract. Gradually add flour, and baking powder.

Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes. Cut, turn on side and bake until light golden brown.
