1 lb. ground round or hamburger 1/2 lb. lean pork or 1/4 lb. sausage 1/4 c. flour 2 eggs 1 c. milk 1 onion, chopped finely 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper Add flour, salt, pepper, and chopped onion to the meat and mix well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add milk and mix well. Drop from a serving spoon into a skillet, having shortening about 1/2 inch deep. Fry until browned on one side; turn and brown other side. May be eaten hot or cold. For a variety: Steam this meat mixture. Serve hot with Danish red cabbage. |
