OLD FASHION TEA CAKES 
1 3/4 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs one at a time. Then add salt and vanilla. Last add flour. Knead dough on floured board, roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 325 degrees for 8 minutes or until done.
