ITALIAN CASSEROLE 
1 pkg. (12 oz.) lg. pasta shells
8 oz. cottage or ricotta cheese
6 tbsp. melted butter
2 cans (8 oz. each) tomato sauce
1 green pepper, diced
Oregano to taste
1 c. thinly sliced pepperoni
2 (6 oz.) pkgs. Mozzarella cheese
1/2 lb. ground beef
Salt & pepper to taste

Cook shells as directed, drain. Saute ground beef. Mix cottage cheese, butter and tomato sauce. Add oregano, salt and pepper. In buttered casserole, layer shells, cheese mixture, Mozzarella cheese and ground beef. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with Mozzarella cheese on top, ringed with pepperoni slices. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until hot and bubbly. Good served with green salad and fruit.
