SHOOFLY COFFEECAKE 
3 c. all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. light molasses
1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. c hopped walnuts or pecans
2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 1/3 c. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Mix flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside. In mixer bowl combine butter, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla and molasses. Beat at medium speed about 2 minutes. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream, beating until smooth. Mix brown sugar, walnuts and cinnamon. Spread 1/3 of batter in greased and lightly floured 10" tube pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 of nut mixture and repeat twice. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until pick comes out clean. Let stand on wire rack 10 minutes, turn out on rack.
