24 HOUR SALAD 
6 cups chopped lettuce (your choice)
salt and pepper
6 hard boiled eggs, sliced
2 cups frozen peas, thawed
1/2 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
6 to 8oz shredded Swiss cheese
mayonnaise or salad dressing

Place 3 cups of lettuce in the bottom of a large, preferable clear, bowl or trifle dish. Layer eggs on top of lettuce; sprinkle with salt and pepper.

Layer in order: peas, remaining lettuce, bacon and Swiss cheese. Spread enough mayonnaise over the top, sealing to edge of bowl, covering ingredients completely.

Cover and chill 24 hours. Toss before serving.

Serves 12 to 15.
