GRANDMA LEE'S FRENCH TURKEY
STUFFING
 
3 lbs. hamburger
1 loaf bread
2 pkgs. Stove Top stuffing
1 stalk celery
2 med. onions
4 tsp. poultry seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
Nutmeg, raisins and apples (optional)

Cover hamburger with water to top in kettle and boil with celery and onions until hamburger is cooked. Cool. Skim off fat. Add poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Set aside 1 cup of the juice. Add bread and Stove Top stuffing until thoroughly soaked and mixed with hamburger. Add reserved juice to mixture until consistency like pudding.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes until top is slightly crusty, or stuff in turkey just before cooking.
