SPINACH AND ORANGE BREAD | |
3 eggs 1 c. salad oil 1 3/4 c. sugar 2 c. fresh spinach 1/2 orange 3 c. all purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/4 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. baking powder Wash spinach. Drain well. Cut into 1/4 inch piece. Grind orange (peel and pulp) with blender. Beat eggs in mixing bowl. Add oil and sugar. Mix well. Add spinach and orange and blend. Sift together dry ingredients, add to liquid ingredients and mix, just to blend together. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour. Makes 2 loaves. |
