SOFT SUGAR COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 tbsp. milk
2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Whip butter. Add nutmeg and sugar. Gradually add eggs. Sift flour, powder and soda. Add alternately with milk to creamed mixture. Drop from teaspoon on cookie sheet. Flatten cookies with dampened fork. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minutes. Immediately sprinkle with sugar. Remove from pan.
