SWEDISH MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground beef (may be 3/4 beef and 1/4 pork)
2 slices bread, soaked in milk (remove crusts and tear in cubes)
1 egg
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. ground allspice
1 onion, chopped

Fry onion in butter until barely tender. Mix all together and fry in butter. Make gravy of the drippings, plus flour and milk.
