ALL BRAN BREAD | |
1/2 c. All Bran cereal 2 c. boiling water 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 pkg. dry yeast 1/2 c. warm water 1 slightly beaten egg Flour as needed Pour the 2 cups boiling water over cereal, sugar, butter and salt in large bowl. Let stand until lukewarm. In small dish dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup warm water; add to the egg and stir into cooled cereal mixture. Stir in flour until mixture is stiff enough to handle. Knead on floured board until smooth and elastic. Place in greased bowl, cover with damp towel and let raise in warm place until double in size. Punch down and make into rolls or loaves. Bake in greased pans after letting dough raise until nearly double. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until nicely browned. |
