FRUIT CAKE COOKIES 
Cream:

1 lb. butter
1 lb. light brown sugar

Add:

3 eggs
3 tbsp. milk
1 tbsp. vanilla
4 1/2 c. self-rising flour sifted with
1/2 tsp. baking soda

Mix batter well and add:

6 slices red & green pineapple
1 lb. red & green cherries
1 jar pineapple preserves

Mix well.

Add:

2 lb. chopped dates
3 qt. chopped pecans rolled in
2 c. flour

Drop by teaspoon on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. Cookies will be soft and light brown when done. If over cooked, cookies will be hard.
