STRAWBERRY PUDDING 
3/4 c. sugar
3 tbsp. flour
2 c. milk
2 eggs, separated
40 or more vanilla wafers
1 1/2 pt. strawberries

Wash, stem and slice in half the strawberries. Mix sugar and flour in saucepan. Add part of the milk and blend until smooth. Add beaten egg yolks and rest of milk. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until custard starts to thicken.

Line bottom and sides of baking dish with vanilla wafers. Add a layer of half of the strawberries, half the boiled custard. Repeat layer of wafers, rest of strawberries and rest of custard. Beat egg whites until stiff. Add 4 tablespoons sugar and beat well. Spread on top of pudding. Brown in preheated 375 degree oven. Makes 6-8 servings.
