GOODIE BARS
1 c. chocolate chips
1 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. peanuts (dry roasted or Virginia)
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. vanilla pudding mix
1/2 c. butter
1 lb. (3 1/4 c.) unsifted powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. maple flavor

Combine chocolate and butterscotch chips and peanut butter. Melt in microwave until softened. Stir until smooth. Line a 12"x8" pan with waxed paper. Spoon half of chocolate mixture into pan, spread evenly. Refrigerate until set. Stir peanuts into remaining chocolate mixture and leave at room temperature. When chocolate in pan is set, combine milk and pudding mix in glass and add butter and microwave on high 1 1/2 to 2 minutes until mixture boils, stirring once. Stir in powdered sugar and maple flavoring, blend well. Spread over chocolate layer. Smooth it out. Spoon remaining chocolate with peanuts over the top, spread to cover. Refrigerate to set about 2 hours. Lift out of pan, remove waxed paper, cut into squares. Store in refrigerator. Makes about 5 dozen squares.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
