SHORTBREAD COOKIES 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. powdered sugar
1 c. butter

Preheat oven 325 degrees. Sift flour and sugar. Beat butter until creamy and work in flour mixture gradually. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick on floured surface. Cut with cutter. Bake until brown on ungreased cookie sheets. Use favorite icing recipe to ice or colored sugar.
