1 c. softened butter
1/2 c. sugar
2 1/2 c. flour

Cream butter and mix sugar and flour in thoroughly. Form rounded 1 inch balls and flatten on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in 300 degree oven until edges are slightly browned, approximately 20 minutes.
