VEGETABLE SOUP 
2 lb. ground beef or stew beef
4 carrots, cut up
6 potatoes, cut up
2 c. corn
2 c. lime beans
2 c. field peas
1 c. okra
1 qt. tomatoes
4 c. water
2 c. shredded cabbage
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Brown beef. Combine beef, vegetables, water, salt and pepper. Cook until tender. If needed, add a little more water.
