SPAETZLE GERMAN EGG DUMPLINGS 
2 eggs
1/2 c. water
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Mix the eggs and water; then add the flour, salt, baking powder, and nutmeg and mix well. Drop small bits of batter from a spoon into simmering broth stock or salted water.

Spaetzle should be very light and delicate; simmer until done.
