VEGETABLE HOT DISH 
1 pkg. frozen cauliflower or broccoli
1 pkg. frozen peas
1 pkg. lima beans
2 stalks celery
5-6 carrots (fresh or frozen)
1 can water chestnuts, sliced
1/4 lb. grated American or Cheddar cheese
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/3 c. milk
Salt and pepper to taste

Cook vegetables. Combine soup, cheese and milk; add to vegetables. Sprinkle with buttered bread or cracker crumbs. Bake 350 degrees 40 minutes, uncovered. Can be made a day ahead of time, but do not refreeze. Serves 8.
