"UNWRAPPED" CABBAGE ROLLS | |
2 lb. ground meat 2 lb. cabbage 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 (1 lb.) can stewed tomatoes 1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 can tomato soup 1 can water Rice 2 pieces sour salt or (sub. lemon juice) Shred 3/4 of cabbage into large pot. Mix ground meat with rice; season. Form into small meatballs and place on shredded cabbage. Cover with brown sugar, tomato sauce, stewed tomatoes, tomato soup and water. Add remaining cabbage. Simmer top of stove 2 hours or bake in 300 degree oven. |
