CREAM CHEESE BROWNIES 
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. chocolate chips

Bake 350 degrees in greased and floured pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch.

Prepare cake mix as directed on package. Pour batter into pan. Mix cream cheese, egg and 1/2 cup sugar. Beat with mixer until well mixed. Drop by tablespoon onto batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for marbled effect. Sprinkle with chips. Can use 1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired. Bake 25-30 minutes. Test with toothpick. Cool. Can be frosted with chocolate icing.
