CHERRY DELIGHTS 
1 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. light corn syrup
2 eggs, separated
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. nuts, finely chopped
red and green candied cherries

Mix 1 cup of butter and 1/2 cup sugar. Stir in 1/2 cup light corn syrup, 2 egg yolks and 2 1/2 cups of flour. Chill. Roll into 1 inch balls. Dip into slightly beaten egg whites and then roll in nuts. Place on greased baking sheet. Press candied cherry halves into centers.

Bake in 325°F oven 20 minutes.

Makes 4 dozen.
