DOUGHNUTS 
4 pkgs. dry yeast
1/4 lb. butter
3 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. sugar (granulated)
Vanilla (to taste)
1 c. powdered milk
1 c. water
5 to 6 c. flour

Cream butter and sugar then add eggs and beat well. Mix powdered milk and water together, then dissolve yeast in the milk mixture. To this, add the vanilla then add to the first mixture. Add the flour and salt mixture.

Put in a greased bowl and let rise 1 hour. Put out on floured paper, roll out and cut into doughnuts. Put on floured paper and let rise again, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Fry in hot oil, then glaze.

GLAZE:

2 lbs. powdered sugar

Add enough milk to make it thin enough to dip the doughnuts, then add vanilla to suit taste.
